Elna Supermatic is my new experience out in the world of the beautiful vintage sewing machines. From before I have both old Husqvarna and Singer sewing machines and one Elna sewingmachine: “The Grashopper” (Elna 1):
Now I want to buy a Elna Supermatic. This was the second Elna sewing machine model and it was made from 1952.
One of the ways I am making research about vintage sewing machines is to find the old advertisings in news papers:
Teacher, makerspace facilitator and a DIY woman. I am a «sandwich» between two generations of professional tailors.
I love to make experimental sewing with both vintage and modern sewingmachines - and in hand.
Recycling and sustainable life is one of my goals.
I love making bags and I love using modern tools as lasercutter, 3D printer, sublimation. But I am also using old analog techniques as prints, monoprinting.
One of my goal is to make e-textile projects.
This blog is about what I am making just now - more the way of making than the product.
